Frequently Asked Questions at Pier Market Seafood Restaurant

Can I make a reservation?

Yes! We take reservations for up to 6 guests. Please use our Yelp Reservations portal here or at piermarket.com. Please note we do not accept reservations over the phone.

If there are no reservations available at your desired time, please visit our host at the front door who will add you to our waitlist and text you when your table is ready. We save most tables for walk-in guests. You can also add yourself to our Yelp online waitlist if you are nearby.

Can I dine with you if your reservations are full? 

YES! We save most tables for walk-in guests. Please add your party to our Yelp online waitlist or visit our host at the front door to put your name down and we will text you when your table is ready. 

Can I reserve a window table?

Unfortunately no, sorry! While we do our best to accommodate table requests, we do not guarantee them. If you request a window table – that is not a guarantee. If you would like a specific type of table there may be a wait until that table type is ready. 

Do you have outdoor seating? 

Yes, we have heated outdoor patio dining. Please note that our outdoor seating is first come first served and cannot be reserved.

Where are you located?

We are located on PIER 39 in San Francisco. We are on the lower level, left-hand side, about halfway down the PIER.  

Where do I park for the 1-hour free parking validation? 

We offer 1 hour of free parking validation (to guests that dine-in at our restaurant) in the PIER 39 Garage directly across Embarcadero Street right next to PIER 39. Please view the map on our website (below hours & location) for details on where the garage is located. Please let your server know you parked in the PIER 39 garage and they will give you a parking validation ticket to insert into the machine when you pay for your parking. 

I’m running late for my reservation. Can you adjust my reservation?

Thank you for letting us know. We can only hold your reserved table for 5 minutes after your reservation time. If you miss your reservation, we will add you to the waitlist and seat you when a table becomes available. Please allow ample time for parking. 

Can I be seated if my full party is not here yet?

Sorry, we only seat full parties. Thank you for understanding. Please let our host know when your full party has arrived. 

I made a reservation for 6 people but I have 8 people, can you change my reservation to 8?

No, sorry! We only accept reservations for parties of 6 guests maximum. If you have more than 6 guests please visit our host at the front door who will seat you at a table or add you to our waitlist and text you when your table is ready. 

Can I make a reservation for 7-19 people?

Unfortunately no, we only accept reservations for parties with up to 6 guests. Please visit our host at the front door for parties of 7-19 guests.  For large party reservations of 20 guests or more, please email angie@simcorestaurants.com.

I am planning a meal for 20+ people, can I make a reservation?

For parties of 20 or more guests please contact Angie Mertens at angie@simcorestaurants.com to inquire about large party reservation availability.

How long is the wait right now?

Please check our Yelp online waitlist or visit our host at the front door to get an accurate wait time for your party. We are not able to quote wait times over the phone.  

Can I buy a gift certificate?

Yes! We sell gift certificates online here and they are valid at all of our Simmons Family restaurants on PIER 39 and they never expire. 

My friend is dining at your restaurant soon, can I buy their meal or send them a bottle?

That is so nice of you!  Please email simco@simcorestaurants.com with your detailed request and we will try to work with you. We will likely require a credit card authorization form and your ID as well as your written confirmation of what you would like to pay for and the reservation. We cannot fulfill all requests but we will try.

We encourage you to purchase a gift card which is the easiest way to treat someone to special items during a meal with us. 

How far in advance can I make a reservation?

We open reservations 90 days in advance online only. We do not take reservations over the phone. Please visit our reservation page here to make a reservation. 

It’s my birthday/anniversary, will you do something special?

Yes! Thank you for choosing our restaurant to celebrate your special occasion. Please let your server know what you are celebrating so we can send out a little something special to celebrate with you. 

Is your restaurant dog friendly?

Well-behaved dogs are welcome to sit on the ground next to their family’s table for outdoor dining only. Dogs are not allowed inside the dining room.

Do you have a corkage fee?

Yes. Our corkage fee is $35 per 750ml bottle. 

Do you have a cake-cutting fee?

We do not charge a cake-cutting fee for small parties. If you have a large party reservation please contact angie@simcorestaurants.com to inquire about cake-cutting fees.

Do you offer to-go food?

Yes. We have a to-go window at the front of our restaurant where you can order many of our menu favorites for take-away. 

Do you offer delivery?

No, we do not, sorry!

Do you have vegetarian food?

We have a few vegetarian dishes. Please ask your server which dishes can be prepared vegetarian. 

Do you have gluten-free menu items?

Yes. The dishes on our menu are marked with a “g” for dishes that CAN be prepared gluten-free. Please ask your server for more information. 

Do I need to be vaccinated to dine inside?

No. All guests are welcome to dine inside regardless of vaccination status. 

Are masks required?

No, masks are not required to dine at this time. 

What is your dress code?

Shirts and shoes are required. There is a wide range of attire in our restaurant. Many guests visit us during a day of exploring San Francisco dressed casually in comfortable clothes, as well as guests dressed up to celebrate special occasions.
