Local Dungeness Crab Season is Here

Local Dungeness Crab season is here, and we want to share it with you. The season opened in full action November 15th, and fishermen are suspecting it is going to be a good crab year will full, meaty Dungeness Crab selections. At SIMCO restaurants, we source our crab from local fisherman that are 100% sustainable, and we are excited to continue serving high quality crab for the fall and winter seasons.

Dining on Dungeness Crab is quite the enjoyable festivity. As the fall and winter months roll in, guests put on and tie their complementary, stylish bibs and prepare to dive into the seasonal specials of crab. While some dishes can be served “lazy” style where the crab shells are pre-cracked and the meat easily accessible, we encourage the full, Dungeness Crab dining experience where guests get crackin’, and actively dine on crab the old fashion way. Cracking shells and enjoyably navigating through the outer layers to reach the meat of the crab legs and body, creates a memorable, fun and enticing way to dine through the fall and holiday season.

Crab is unique and special in it’s availability. We love celebrating crab season with specials, and pairing the meals with holiday spirit. Dungeness crab adds specialty to an everyday meal, and tops off Holiday dining with an interactive experience that sparks all inclusive dining chatter. At Fog Harbor Fish House, our Dungeness crab dishes range from Shellfish Towers and Platters and Garlic Roasted Dungeness Crab, to Crab Rolls, Crab Cakes and Ceviche, to Crab topped Filet Mignon. Explore our menu and website to get a taste of our Dungeness Crab options. Pier Market’s Dungeness Crab selection includes ½ and Whole Crab, ½ and Whole Oven Roasted Garlic Crab, Crab Cocktail, Clam Chowder topped with Crab, and a Crab Louie Salad.

Dungeness Crab season is in full effect, let’s get crackin’.
